Our guest today: Patricia Iinuma from hotel.school

Living by the motto "do it with passion, or not at all", Patricia is the Managing Director of hotel.school, a newly launched online institution setting out to disrupt higher education in hospitality.

After a storied career in Luxury Hotel Operations, from Park Hyatt Chicago to Park Yatt Paris Vendôme, Patricia joined the corporate side as a Global Director of Sales for Luxury, still at Hyatt Group.

Passionate about education in the industry, she left Hyatt after 13 years to join Swiss Education Group, an alliance of renowned Swiss Hospitality Schools, to lead their marketing and communications.

After 4 years, she decided to join the hotel.school initiative, seduced by the disruptive idea of condensing the most relevant parts of the curriculum of a traditional hotel management school into short, impactful courses.

Inviting seasoned, global industry professionals to share their learnings in practical sessions at accessible prices, hotel.school is reinventing a model that hasn't changed much in a hundred years. Especially timely at a time where the industry is experiencing one of its greatest challenges, the solution is one she is clearly passionate about.
